Xi Jinping Arrives in Osaka, Japan for the 14th G20 Summit

On June 27, 2019 local time, President Xi Jinping arrived in Osaka by a special plane. At the invitation of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, President Xi Jinping will attend the 14th G20 Summit.

At around 1:15 p.m. local time, President Xi Jinping's special plane arrived at the Kansai International Airport in Osaka. When Xi Jinping stepped out the cabin door, senior officials of the Japanese government, Governor of Osaka Prefecture and others greeted him beside the gangway.

Ding Xuexiang, Liu He, Yang Jiechi, Wang Yi, He Lifeng and other delegation members arrived by the same plane.

H.E. Kong Xuanyou, Chinese Ambassador to Japan, also greeted Xi Jinping at the airport.

The G20 Summit this time will be held from June 28 to 29 in Osaka. Xi Jinping will elaborate on his views and propositions on the world economic situation and global economic governance at the Summit. On the sidelines of the Summit, Xi Jinping will also attend the BRICS leaders' meeting, the China-Russia-India leaders' meeting and the China-Africa leaders' meeting and hold bilateral meetings with leaders of some countries.
